So, I am now seriously considering getting back into political blogging, but I have a couple of things left to work out.
For one thing, I can’t decide whether to use this wordpress.com blog or host my own. The benefit of the first is that it is free. The drawback is that I can never advertise on it, so I remove the possibility of ever making money from it.
The benefit of the second is that I can have total control over what I do with the site. The drawback is that I have to pay for it.
I gave this some thought and realized that I don’t want to have ads on the site. I also don’t want to pay to have the site hosted, nor can I afford to pay for a full year up front.
Besides, I already own the domain name I will use, so I can transfer it to my own hosted site if I want to at some point in the future, without losing people.
Now that that is figured out, comes the hard part. It was through a great deal of prayer and consideration that I stopped doing She’s Right before. I need to take the same time and care with this decision, as well.
Things have changed in my life since then to the point where I think I can go back to blogging, I just need to have some boundaries.
For one, I will probably do just one post a day. And I cannot get bogged down with discussions in the comments. I kind of have in mind, my answer to VDB, in a sense. Except, I will allow comments, probably.
I need to figure out if I can do this without it taking over too much of my life, like it was before. My primary responsibility is to my family and I can’t get involved in anything that will push them into second place. Keeping up with everything that is going on, enough to blog intelligently about it, can be a full-time job in and of itself.

Funny how you Xtians seem to justify everything after the fact. Holocaust was God’s will too, I guess. Suckers.
Anyways, how you liking Wordpress? I started off on the free one but found it too limiting, so I bit the bullet and bought some server space from Bluehost.com, $6.95 a month, and they have the best tech support of ANY company I’ve ever dealt with.
