NaNoWriMo = NoBloPo

It pains me to watch the number of visitors to this site fall so dramatically, but I just can’t post right now. See, a while ago, I informed you all, dear readers, that I was going to do NaNoWriMo.

Well, it started out well, but life got in the way, as it always does, and I got VERY far behind on my word count. I decided that I had too much going on right now, with homeschooling, starting a business, keeping up with two blogs, and keeping up with housework. I decided that maybe, just maybe, I had bitten off more than I could chew.

But I have these characters that live in my head, just waiting to be developed and have their story unfold. They want to come out. No, they need to come out. And I owe it to them, and to myself, to let them come out.

So, I went back to my novel, only this time I have half-a-month to finish my 50,000 word novel. Now every moment of writing time needs to go to that. I hope you understand.

It really is an amazing process. I have this character and I know her, I know what she is feeling, and I know that something happened to her, but I didn’t really know what until I started writing. As I write, the details just appear in my mind. Sometimes they just appear on the computer screen, as if I am typing them before I even really think about them. It is so incredible to see the story come into shape. I think I am addicted to this writing thing. It’s very cool.

My only regret is that my blogging has to suffer.

Maybe next year I will do NaBloPoMo instead.

I just want to know why in the world someone would think November is a good month for this thing?? Don’t these people travel for Thanksgiving? Sheesh!
