Exactly two years ago today, the first post appeared on a little Blogger blog called She’s Right (shesright.blogspot.com).
And, since I finally imported the rest of the Blogger posts to this site, you can read it here.
That first post is not like a typical first post for a blog. I just started right in as if I had been posting all along.
I am not sure why that was, other than that I had a She’s Right website already (at this domain name) and a show on Channel 17. I guess the blog was just a natural extension of that, but it grew to be so much more than a Burlington politics blog.
Speaking of which, I can’t celebrate my blogiversary without noting that the inspiration for starting She’s Right was none other than BurlingtonPol.com.
I had never even read blogs until Haik e-mailed me 4 days prior to let me know about his blog.
I am forever grateful! I love blogging!
I almost didn’t make it to this second anniversary, though.
As you long-time readers know, last April, I was led to stop doing She’s Right.
(For those of you who don’t know, I was led to is Christian-speak for God told me to. It sounds slightly less crazy, but mostly because people don’t know what it means.)
It turned out to be a very good thing. There were circumstances that arose in my family life during which not having this blog was a good thing. It’s almost as if someone knew that would happen…
Anyway, a few months later, at the blogger barbecue at North Beach, I was encouraged by the people who said they missed my contribution to Vermont political blogging.
I decided to give some serious thought and prayer to returning to She’s Right.
Well, obviously I did, but this time I moved to WordPress, instead of Blogger.
Initially, I blogged at a wordpress.com free-hosted blog, but a little over a month ago, I moved to my own host.
I am glad that I am still doing She’s Right. Blogging is a great format and I feel very fortunate to be a part of it.
No more fighting on the phone with an editor about whether or not my column is printable!
These are great times we’re living in, people.
And I am glad that you are around to share them with me.
Many thanks for stopping by to read what I have to say!
Here’s to another year!

Congratulations, Charity. I didn’t know I’d hit two years at Rational Resistance until someone (I think it was JD) reminded me to check the date.
