Here are a few non-political links to fill your weekend down-time.
Life imitates art science-fiction.
Engineers at the University of Washington have for the first time used manufacturing techniques at microscopic scales to combine a flexible, biologically safe contact lens with an imprinted electronic circuit and lights.
And if that’s not strange enough for you, Rockabye Baby! brings you lullaby renditions of some of your favorite bands.
Now you can put your baby to sleep with everything from The Eagles to Nine Inch Nails to AC/DC.
They have samples that you can listen to on the site, too.
Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit sounds like the soundtrack for a cheap horror flick.
However, Metallica’s Fade to Black sounds beautiful. I am kind of biased, though, since that was my favorite song in high school.
Finally, in case you didn’t already see this link on Five Before Chaos, check out Steve Don’t Eat It!, from The Sneeze. Steve shares his adventures in eating very gross things, complete with lots of photos.
It is an odd combination of humorous and disgusting.
Hope you’re having a great weekend!

Thanks for the link, CHarity. I am obsessed with this corn-fungus thingie. Apparently, high-end restaurants in America can’t get enough of it. Actually, you eat it cooked in something, instead of that big nasty lump. I don’t like mushrooms, though so I doubt I’d end up liking it. And I admit to have eaten “potted meat food product’ a long time ago, something my opponents will undoubtedly use against me should I ever seek public office.
