Well, not quite, but I do have a couple of comments.
First, the Moran Redevelopment passed! Woo-hoo!
I totally supported this plan. In an ideal world, the city would have sold the property to a developer and washed its hands of the whole thing (and watched the tax dollars roll in once it was developed). But the reality of this situation was that would never happen. If the Burlington voters ever approved such an evil scheme as – gasp! – allowing private development on the waterfront, the city still would need the legislature to change the designation on it. As it stands now, the property is on filled land, so it has to remain public use.
Not much else exciting.
Ooh, I voted for Fred Thompson. Yeah, baby!
I figured this was my only shot at casting a vote for the man, so I took it.
Sorry, Dr. Paul. I blame your kooky followers.
I had to vote in the GOP primary because it is totally wrong for a Republican to vote in the Democratic primary. It just is. Cross-over voters should be ashamed of themselves. Seriously. (Except you, Haik. You are an all-over voter anyway, not a Democrat.)
One last thought before I go watch the 2 hour finale of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles with the greatest husband ever. (It was on last night. I recorded it. Go to FOX.com, if you missed it.)
On the Channel 17 exit interviews, when asked what comment she would write on her ballot for her elected officials, if she could, one woman said, “I would tell them to get out of Iraq and try to do something with the economy.”
Funny, it is the exact opposite for me. I would tell them to get out of the economy and try to do something with Iraq!

Charity, something we agree on! A primary is the internal decision making mechanism of a political party, so I don’t think the members of other parties should get involved. I even discouraged other D’s from voting for Fred Tuttle when he was in the primary against McMullen, much as it pained me to do so.
