Let’s face facts here. Whether you & I like it or not, Obama has been almost complete & fully vetted on the issue of “experience” through the political process that we’ve gone through so far this year. I understand that the Right will continually bring up how they think that he isn’t “ready” to be President, but that strategy has been tried and failed already before.

Obama picking Biden means that his polling was showing that he needed someone with more “experience” than he did on his ticket, but picking Biden (someone with basically only Senate experience…just like McSame) undercuts his “change” message by picking a Washington insider. McSame had to obviously pick someone younger than him, but picking Palin only undercuts his message than Obama isn’t “experienced” enough to be President. Obama’s message that resume experience is not as important as judgement has resonated this year because the Washington insiders (like Biden & McSame) have gotten all kinds of important decisions wrong…like Iraq for one. The candidate that fully embraces and represents real change from the horrible status-quo that we have right now will win easily in Novemeber IMO.

The idea that McSame was ever a “maverick” or that Palin was the most & best qualified person on the list of potential VPs for McSame is a complete farce, period.

Yet it is when it comes to Gov. Palin. Funny how that works.

This pick wasn’t about desperation. There has been an active campaign to get McCain to pick Palin and she was the obvious choice from the list of potential picks because she reflects McCain’s campaign theme of challenging the establishment, of being a maverick, if you will.

The only desperation is that of the left in their attempt to throw whatever garbage they can find to see what sticks. It’s pathetic.

You are right about it being desperation time, but it’s not for McCain.

Because she is…that’s a *larger part* of her background than being Governor of AK for less than 2 years.

If the Dems picked a candidate with so little experience in public policy & govt….you can be sure that experience would have been a huge issue…why is Palin getting a pass on that with you guys??

You can try and lump me in with the liberal bloggers on this one, but that shoe is not going to fit. Women need to be judged on the same playing field as men. I voted for Hillary primarily because I thought that she was more qualified to be President than Obama. That “experience” issue obviously wasn’t as important to people in both the primary & the general election campaigns. Let’s face it…it’s desperation time for McSame…he & his campaign know that they are doomed if they don’t shake this race up…

No, she’s just going to take over for McSame when he keels over in office…come on now. All the months of attacks on Obama for being “inexperienced” are to be forgotten now?? This woman only has 6 years as mayor of a small town and less than 2 years as governor of AK of all places…it’s a joke! And to think that I thought that Obama was maybe pushing it with 8 years in the IL state Senate & 4 years in the U.S. Senate. She is in no way, shape, or form qualified to be President, and they’ve only spoken once on the phone before he picked her…it’s ridiculous! She’s had more experience FISHING than she does in public office. Executive experience is fine, but you have to have had REAL executive experience for it to mean anything. When was the last time that anything happened of any national importance in AK??

This is just a stab in the dark to try and grab some disaffected, former Hillary supporters, and it won’t work because the vast majority of them aren’t going to vote for a woman that doesn’t believe in abortion rights.

We’ve been over this Hillary thing a loooong time ago Charity…you wouldn’t even entertain the idea of voting for her because of her stance on issues even though she was a woman, which is fine by me. You can’t come back months & months later and say that she was “treated like crap”…come on…

Obama’s nomination may have hurt the democrats’ chances. These baby-boomer feminists are mad about seeing their ’sister’ in the cause losing this way.
It’s the lot of liberals though, there’s always a more fashionable protected class to love and faun over. The race baiters, like Al and Jesse, are REALLY not going to take it well when they’re time in the limelight is over!
