Don't you know that free speech must be stamped out, comrade? I mean, this is the USSA (United Socialist States of America), right? :P

I read something similar over here and am SICK that hardly anyone seems concerned about this. They've all drank the Kool-Aid and are blind to truth and reason.

"Yet, the root cause of the financial mess we are in can be traced back to the lending practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. And John McCain was, as Kevin Hassett of Bloomberg News points out, 'one of the three cosponsors of S.190, the bill that would have averted this mess.'"

No, that's not where the "root cause of the financial mess" came from...that's the GOP talking point on where it came from. I swear that you guys on the Right must all go to the same meetings, cuz this has got to be the fourth or fifth time that I've seen that bogus Bloomburg opinion piece mentioned.

Hmmmm, an opinion piece by the likes of Kevin Hassett...a senior economic adviser to the McSame campaign & coauthor of "Dow 36,000: The New Strategy for Profiting From the Coming Rise in the Stock Market", which was published back in 1999 before the dot-com bubble burst (it was a book that predicted that the Dow Jones industrials index would rise to *36000 within three to five years*--i.e. 2002 or 2004). What a surprise that he's absolutely clueless on this issue...I wonder how his AIG stock is doin'??

"yet in 2005 Alan Greenspan told Congress how urgent it was for it to act in the clearest possible terms"

Hmmmm...was that before or after both he & the Bush Regime pushed ARMs so hard?? Oh yea, it was after...and we'll just ignore the fact that McSame's campaign manager (who's doing a great job IMHO, for Obama) used to lobby for Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac as well. Also, let's ignore what we've already learned about McSame jumping on the "reform" bandwagon 16 months after the bill in question was introduced...now that's what I call leadership...bad leadership.

"The truth is relative."

So, libel/slander is now "free speech"?? I don't think so...the NRAs claims about Obama are way, way off, but what else is new? You should see some of the stuff that's out there about how Obama is really a Indonesian, a Muslim, etc., etc....they are all just outright lies, a standard for the Right-wing noise machine for a long time now unfortuntely.

"At least people were free to criticize him."

Tell that to the people that ended up on those "no fly" lists.
